| Selection as a fellow under the Chief Minister's Fellowship Program is based on a combination of the following criteria: |
- Track record of remarkable professional achievement in the applicant's career
- Trait of leadership skills and the potential for further growth
- Demonstrated commitment to social / public service
- Skill set that highlights the ability to work effectively as part of the team
- Strength of character, positive attitude and the ability to work with others

| An open system has been designed to ensure the best candidates are able to show their interest towards the program and that they are selected on equal grounds. Those interested in applying for the Fellowship Program are requested to submit information with their CV/resume through an online Application Form. Once the Application Form has been submitted, candidates will be notified via email of the receipt of the details submitted by them.
Candidates may be contacted to provide further details and to give a phone interview before short-listing. Short-listed candidates may be called for a personal interview or for an interview through video-conferencing or phone. Final selection will be done after the short-listed candidates have gone through a comprehensive background investigation. |

| The First Batch of Fellows has been selected. In total 12 Fellows began the CM Fellowship Program on 5th July 2010. |
